DOHA, Qatar

The official news agencies of Turkey and Qatar on Wednesday sealed an agreement to enhance their cooperation.

Serdar Karagoz, director general of Anadolu Agency, and his counterpart at Qatar News Agency, Ahmed Said Jaber Al Rumaihi, signed the deal in Doha.

The agreement, part of the 7th Turkey-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee meeting, aims to strengthen “bonds of professional cooperation” and increase flow of quality content and information between the two organizations.

It also envisages reciprocal exchange of experience and technical information among editors, reporters, and other journalists and professionals of the agencies.

As many as 15 agreements in various fields were signed between Turkey and Qatar during President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Doha this week.
