White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said Wednesday that the Interior Department will formally submit plans for President Donald Trump’s triumphal arch on Thursday.
"President Trump and the Department of Interior will submit plans for the United States triumphal arch, which will be an architectural masterpiece to celebrate our history right here in Washington, DC," Leavitt told reporters.
Leavitt said the 250-feet high structure will honor the US’s 250th birthday later this year.
“The United States triumphal arch will be outfitted with beautiful artwork and depictions celebrating the success of the American people over our 250-year history and the enduring triumph of the American spirit," she added.
