Nigerian top judge charged with false asset declaration
It's first time in country’s history that serving chief justice is being tried

Nigeria's chief justice has been charged for declaring false assets details, an official statement said on Saturday.
The statement issued by anti-corruption agency Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) said Walter Onnoghen will be arraigned on Monday on a six-count charge which has been filed at the code of conduct tribunal.
Daily Trust, a local daily, reported that the government accuses the chief justice of declaring false assets details and operating domiciliary foreign currency account.
