WASHINGTON
US Trade Representative Ron Kirk has said that the United States had been watching Turkey's economic power and stability in admiration.
Delivering a speech at the 31st Annual Conference of the American-Turkish Council (ATC) in Washington, Kirk said that Turkey tripled its national revenue in the past decade.
Turkey's economic development made a positive impact on its commercial relations with the United States, he said.
Kirk said that they were working on lifting commercial obstacles between the two countries.
Turkey has been playing an important role in its region, he said.
Turkey and the United States could work together in the Middle East and North Africa, he added.
