More than 80 people have died in Syrian town of Azaz, some five kilometers away from the Turkish border, after Syrian military jets staged an attack on the town.

More than 80 die in air attack of Syrian jets in Azaz town

AZAZ (AA) - August 16, 2012 - More than 80 people have died in Syrian town of Azaz, some five kilometers away from the Turkish border, on Thursday after Syrian military jets staged an attack on the town.

Local sources have told the Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent that around 60 homes were completely destroyed while many others were partially damaged due to the attacks of Syrian military jets since noon on Wednesday.
Syrian citizens who fled Aleppo and later arrived in Azaz are now rushing to the Oncupinar Border Gate in order to cross into Turkey.
Following official procedures, many Syrian citizens were permitted into Turkey at the Oncupinar Border Gate.
