The Chairman of the Libyan Entity for Union, Dr. Adil M. al-Wefati, said on Friday that more than 300 political entities in Libya were a natural reaction to 40 years of dictatorship.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), al-Wefati said that more than 40 years of dictatorship was an obstacle to political experience in Libya.
At this time, it is not possible to say that we could be a political party. We are a political community. We have a short history. We are a political entity formed up by the union of regional people, al-Wefati noted.
If we can have a deputy in the "National Assembly" following the elections, we will make efforts to solve Libya's problems. There are important problems to be solved after the elections, including the collection of arms from the people, al-Wefati stressed.
With moves made in recent years, Turkey displayed a successful foreign policy and proved itself. As a developed country, Turkey can make contributions to the restructuring of Libya, al-Wefati noted.
374 political entities and parties will compete in the "National Assembly" elections in Libya on July 7.
