At least 70 people were killed after four days of air and ground attacks on Syria's opposition-held city of Douma near the capital Damascus, say opposition activists.

Another 250 people were injured after four days of attacks organized by the Syrian army, including ground and air raids, in the city of Douma, according to a statement made by the Syrian National Coalition.

The Syrian National Coalition also stated that dozens of civilians still remained under rubble.

Syria has been plagued by a civil war for almost four years. Tens of thousands of people have been killed and millions displaced, both internally and externally.
