Syrian opposition demand heavy weapons

PARIS

Syrian opposition and its supporters came together in a Paris on Monday.

Syrian opposition supporters demanded financial aid and heavy weaponry from the international community and asked for keeping promises in the meeting.
Riad Seif, the Vice President of the National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces spoke at the opening of the meeting and stressed they expect more financial aid and artillery from the international community.
Seif underlined once the clashes in Syria exacerbated, then the peace in the region and the world would be negatively affected too.
Seif stressed that they expect from the international community to act according to their promises and said, "We do not want to listen to anything which remain unfulfilled."
Furthermore, George Sabra, the President of the Syrian National Council said, "Syria needs billions of dollars. In order to overthrow the Damascus government, we will need $500 million at first hand."
Sabra added, as opponents, in the scope of fighting against the army of Damascus, they need guns immediately.
