Bayern Munich make a good start in the Bundesliga

Back-to-back Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich defeat Wolfsburg 2-1 at Allianz Arena as last season's runners-up Borussia Dortmund lose to Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern Munich make a good start in the Bundesliga

BERLIN 

In the opening match of the 2014-15 Bundesliga season, domestic champions two years running Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg 2-1 at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern saw goals from German forward Thomas Muller and Dutch winger Arjen Robben; Wolfsburg’s goal of the Friday clash was scored by former-Bayern Munich forward Ivica Olic.

Last season's runners-up Borussia Dortmund were stunned by Bayer Leverkusen in their home ground of Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, losing 2-0. Leverkusen took the lead in 9th second of the game when their German-Moroccan winger Karim Bellarabi found the net – the earliest goal in Bundesliga history. 

Bayer Leverkusen clinched victory after central forward Stefan Kiessling put the ball in the back of the net in stoppage time of the match.

Meanwhile Hoffenheim completed Bundesliga's first week as leaders after beating Augsburg 2-0 on Saturday. Scorers for Hoffenheim were Adam Szalai and Tarik Elyounoussi.
