Syrian regime attack kills 10 in Aleppo

ALEPPO, Syria

At least 10 people were killed and 15 others wounded in regime rocket attacks on Aleppo province in northern Syria, sources at a local hospital said Saturday.

They said regime forces targeted two residential areas in Bustan al-Qasr and Keles regions in Syria’s second largest city, using what are locally called “elephant missiles”, made of oxygen tanks.

Abo Ammar, a local media activist, told Anadolu Agency Saturday that scores of houses were destroyed in Bustan al-Qasr during the attack.

More than 220,000 people have been killed in Syria and almost half the population forced to flee their homes since the conflict between Bashar al-Assad’s regime and opposition forces began in 2011, according to the U.N.
