Deputy PM welcomes AA's broadcasting in Russian
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag has said that Anadolu Agency's (AA) Russian edition would have people who live in Russian speaking regions get correct news.
"AA's broadcasts in Russian means that developments in the regions where Russian language is spoken will be heard in Turkey and around the world via AA. Those people will also learn what is happening in Turkey via AA," said minister Bozdag, commenting on AA's launching test broadcast in Russian language.
Describing Russian as an important language that is spoken in many parts of Europe and Asia, Bozdag wished AA success with its Russian news service.
"I sincerely congratulate AA and wish them great achievements on this way. I hope that they would continue to be a role model on responsible publishing," Bozdag said.
AA began test broadcast in Russian language on July 17. Russian broadcast will be conducted from AA's Caucasus Regional Directorate in Baku, Azerbaijan.
AA targets to make broadcast in 11 languages within the scope of its centennial vision. Earlier this year, the agency began broadcasting news in Bosnian and Arabic.
