ANKARA

Turkish General Staff on Monday announced that two 2XF-16 fighter jets which were scrambled from Incirlik base after seeing three Syrian helicopters near the Turkish border were having a patrol flight over the Adana-Hatay-Kilis area.

Turkish General Staff released a written statement on their website regarding the border incidents.
Turkish warplanes scrambled thrice on Saturday when Syrian helicopters came too close to the Turkish airspace near the Turkish-Syrian border.
