Acclaimed Turkish actor and voice artist Musfik Kenter died at the age of 80 in Istanbul.
Kenter passed away due to a pulmonary infection at a hospital in Istanbul where he was under intensive care for lung cancer since August 7.
Born to a Turkish diplomat father and a British mother, Kenter started acting at the age of 15 at Ankara State Theater, and he graduated from the Ankara State Conservatory with an honorary degree in 1955.
Kenter studied acting in the United States and in Britain with scholarship from the British Cultural Society and Rockefeller, and he performed in many productions in the US, UK, France, Germany and former Yugoslavia.
Kenter is the younger brother of Yildiz Kenter, who is one of the most-acclaimed actresses in Turkey.
Kenter will be laid to eternal rest on Friday in Istanbul.
