Seven people were killed and 19 others were wounded Saturday in regime airstrikes east of the Syrian capital of Damascus.

Sources from field hospitals in the region of Eastern Ghouta confirmed to The Anadolu Agency the deaths of seven people following three Syrian regime air attacks on residential areas in the town of Arbin.

The 19 injured, including children, were taken to field hospitals, according to Ammar al-Boushi a local activist in the area.

Since 2011, the Syrian civil war has resulted in the deaths of 350,000 people and displaced almost half of the country's population.
