At least 20 people were killed and 65 injured in a helicopter attack by regime forces in Aleppo’s Al - Bab province, which is controlled by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant militants, said the Syrian opposition on Tuesday.

The Syrian Army helicopter dropped two barrel bombs on Al - Bab region, which is controlled by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, militants, said the Syrian Revolution General Commission.

The Syrian Revolution General Commission described the situation as a massacre.

The Al - Bab region has been occupied by ISIL for 10 months, amid a civil war between forces of the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and opposition groups

According to the U.N., the conflict in Syria, which began in March 2011, has claimed more than 190,000 lives, and nearly 11 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance within the country.
