Football: Brazil edge out Chile in friendly

LONDON

Brazil national football team beat Chile 1-0 in a friendly match at Emirates Stadium, London on Sunday.

Brazilian attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino scored the winning goal in the 73th minute after skipping past Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo in penalty area. Danilo made the assist.

In 88', the match was stopped for a short while after several fans entered the pitch. It is reported that 60,000 fans watched the game.

The referee of the friendly, Martin Atkinson missed Chilean midfielder Gary Medel's foul against Brazilian star forward Neymar in the 23th minute as Medel appeared to step on his opponent Neymar's foot on purpose.
