Liverpool to hold charity match

ANKARA

 English Premier League club Liverpool stated on their website on Thursday that they are set to hold a charity match on March 29 at Anfield Road.

Skipper Steven Gerrard and former player Jamie Carragher will be the captains of the match. The English club said that the revenue from the match will be donated to the Liverpool FC Foundation for social responsibility projects.

Former Liverpool players such as Fenerbahce's Dutch forward Dirk Kuyt, Barcelona forward Luis Suarez, Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Pepe Reina and midfielder Xabi Alonso were invited to the match. Chelsea veterans Didier Drogba and John Terry and retired football player Thierry Henry also accepted to take part in the charity game as well.

Current Liverpool players are expected to play unless they are on national duty on matchday.

Liverpool's website stated that the lowest ticket price will be £5 ($7.60) while the highest will be £20 ($30.40).

Liverpool fan card holders are prioritized for the tickets and the general sale will be on March 11.
