ISTANBUL

Fenerbahce forward Moussa Sow is set to complete his move to Emirati club Al-Ahli on Friday.

The Istanbul side announced that the clubs agreed on terms about 29-year-old Sow's move; Al-Ahli will pay €16 million ($18 million) as a transfer fee.

"Upon the player's request, we accepted the offer of the Dubai club executives and the clubs agreed in principle. In compliance with the agreement, €16 million will be paid for our club as transfer fee and the player will get €1 million ($1.1 million)", Fenerbahce said in a statement.

It is reported that Al-Ahli should deliver their commitments by August 31, the deadline for summer transfers.

"Moussa Sow is abroad to sign with his new club and undergo medical checks", the Istanbul side said.

Sow will say goodbye to Fenerbahce fans on Sunday before the Turkish Super League match against Antalyaspor in Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, Istanbul.

Having joined Fenerbahce in January 2012 from French club Lille, Sow scored 60 goals and produced 29 assists in 148 appearances.

Able to play as second striker or wing forward on the left side, the Senegalese international won the Turkish Spor Toto Super League title in 2014 and two consecutive Turkish Cup titles in 2012 and 2013.
