Football: Fenerbahce beat Atromitos by late winner

Turkish football heavyweights Fenerbahce barely won against Greek team Atromitos 1-0 in the UEFA Europa League play-offs first leg at Peristeri Stadium in Athens on Thursday night.
In the last minute of the regular time, Fenerbahce's Dutch star forward Robin van Persie scored a critical goal for his team by a header, sealing the victory for the Yellow Canaries in the nick of time.
This score gives Fenerbahce a sizable advantage to qualify for the Europa League group stage ahead of the second leg on August 27, Thursday at Fenerbahce's home ground, Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul.
