Barcelona beat Bayern Munich 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals first leg at Nou Camp Wednesday night.

Visitors Bayern Munich's goalkeeper Manuel Neuer did not let Barcelona's Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez score after 12 minutes and Brazilian right-back Daniel Alves after 39 minutes. In both instances, the players were in a one-on-one position with the goalkeeper.

Barcelona, however, broke the deadlock in the 77th minute after Lionel Messi shot from outside the box and hit the target, 1-0.

Messi doubled the gap three minutes later after he skipped past Bayern defender Jerome Boateng in the box and chipped the ball over Neuer, making the score 2-0.

In injury time, Barcelona's Brazilian flamboyant forward Neymar made it 3-0 on a counterattack after Messi passed a lethal through ball to him.

Barcelona has a great advantage during the second leg in Munich, which will be played on May 12.
