JERUSALEM

Israeli intelligence agency Mossad has launched a new website in hopes of recruiting potential agents.

"The goal of the site is to make the organization more accessible to potential recruits who may not be exposed to the variety of positions – in operations, intelligence, technology and cyber, and administration – available," the Israeli prime minister's office said in a Monday statement.

The website is fully accessible to the public and available in six languages: Arabic, Farsi, English, Polish, French and Hebrew.

"Positions are available for men and women alike," the statement said.

In an attempt to attract recruits, the website carries the slogan: "Join us to see [the] invisible and do [the] impossible."

Mossad Director Tamir Pardo said the organization had to recruit the best people into its ranks in order to continue to "lead, defend and allow for the continued existence of the State of Israel."

"The Mossad's qualitative human capital is the secret of our success," Pardo said.

Mossad's top man also asserted that the agency would continue to operate "wherever and whenever necessary in order to defend the security of the State of Israel."

The Mossad was first established in 1949, shortly after the creation of Israel.

The agency, which is overseen by the prime minister's office, is ostensibly devoted primarily to "preventing terrorist acts against Israeli targets abroad."
