OIC condemns Israeli attack on Latrun monastery
CAIRO
The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has said that OIC condemns the attack on Latrun Monastery which belongs to Christians in western Jerusalem.
Ihsanoglu spoke to AA about the attack and stressed, "This is an another example of a terrorist attack staged by Jewish settlers on mosques and churches."
Ihsanoglu also added that those attacks did not aim to destroy holy places but they targeted Palestinian civilians and their goods. He said that those are systematic attack policies of Israel and stated, "This kind of attacks are supervised by the Israeli government. Israel is behind the vile attacks of Jewish settlers on Muslim and Christian holy places and on the goods of Palestinians."
A Christian monastery in Latrun which is near Jerusalem was set on fire on Tuesday and words against Jesus Christ were written on the walls of the holy place.
