Rohinyga Muslims happy after receiving Turkish aid
Aid materials of Turkish civil society organizations create happiness among Rohingya Muslims
The aid materials provided by Turkey's Humanitarian Aid Foundation (IHH) and Sadaka Tasi Association (STA) created happiness among Rohinyga Muslims of Myanmar presently staying in Bangladesh.
While the Rohingya Muslims entered Eid al-Fitr (Ramadan Feast) with sorrow away from their homes in Myanmar, they experienced happiness after receiving lunch boxes from the IHH and STA.
The boxes included many food items, including oil, sugar, rice and cracked wheat.
Mothers and children were seen carrying their lunch boxes with great joy although some children found the boxes to be very heavy to carry.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), STA's Deputy Chairman Cevdet Hasbal said that they distributed 500 boxes of food items to the Rohingya Muslims staying at the Kutupalong Camp in Bangladesh, close to Myanmar.
We are very pleased to distribute the donations made in Turkey for the Rohingya Muslims, Hasbal stressed.
An executive with the IHH, Metin Basbay said that they distributed 1,000 lunch boxes to the Rohingya Muslims.
The IHH extends strong support to the Rohingya Muslims both on special days and others, Basbay underlined.
"When we see the happiness on the faces of the aid recipients, we forget how tired we are. We will always be on the side of the oppressed," Basbay also said.
Thousands of Rohingya Muslims had to flee Myanmar due to ongoing clashes and took shelter in neighboring Bangladesh.
