Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek and his Kazakh counterpart Nurlan Nigmatulin signed cooperation protocol between the assemblies of the two countries.

Cicek met his Kazakh counterpart Nurlan Nigmatulin and Azerbaijani counterpart Oktay Esadov within the scope of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries’ (TURKPA) fourth plenary session on Monday. Three leaders visited Anitkabir, Ataturk's Mausoleum.

Earlier Monday, Cicek and  Nigmatulin signed cooperation protocol between Turkish and Kazakh assemblies.

During the ceremony, Cicek said, Kazakhistan has a vital role in TURKPA meetings, as Nursultan Nazarbayev being its founding father.

“I believe these meetings will increase cooperation, solidarity and brotherhood among Turkic world,” added Cicek.

Nigmatulin touched upon the importance of mutual experience-sharing between Turkish and Kazakh parliaments, and said, “It is very important for us to have a common stance regardin the cooperation with Europe.”
