"Turkey exerts efforts for peace and security"
Turkish President Abdullah Gul said that they have been exerting great efforts for tranquility, peace and security in the country.
ISTANBUL (AA) - August 19, 2012 - Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Sunday that they have been exerting great efforts for tranquility, peace and security in the country.
Replying to a question, Gul said that no one could gain any right by means of violence, bloodshed and terrorism.
Turkey has been fighting against terrorism for a long time, he said.
"We are doing our best for peace, security and happiness of our people," Gul said.
The president said those who resorted to terrorism were doing a big mistake.
Gul said Muslims in some countries have been suffering from several problems, stating that he hoped that everyone would live in peace and happiness.
