Crisis in EU has negative impact on Turkey's automotive exports

Turkish automotive sector's exports in July went down by 22 percent, when compared to the same month last year, and was recorded as 1.4 billion USD.

BURSA (AA) - August 5, 2012 - Turkish automotive sector's exports in July went down by 22 percent, when compared to the same month last year, and was recorded as 1.4 billion USD, the Union of Exporters of the Uludag Automotive Industry (OIB) said in a report published for the month of July.

The Chairman of the OIB, Orhan Sabuncu said that there was a decline in Turkish exports in all product groups.
"Turkish exports in July went down 5.5 percent, when compared to the same period last year, and were recorded as 10.8 billion USD," the report said.
The crisis in the EU had a negative impact on Turkey's exports, including the automotive sector, Sabuncu stressed.
