Anadolu Agency chief meets Tunisian parliament head
Jafar said AA had introduced were solid examples of Turkish media's growing interest in the Arab world
Anadolu Agency Board Chairman and Director General Kemal Ozturk paid a visit on Mustapha Ben Jafar, president of the Constituent Assembly of Tunisia, in capital Tunis.
Speaking at the meeting Jafar said he welcomed the opening of anAnadolu Agency office in Tunisia, adding that it constituted an important step towards improvement of relations between Tunisia and Turkey.
Jafar said the new departments Anadolu Agency had introduced were solid examples of Turkish media's growing interest in the Arab world, which he said would strengthen region's relations with Turkey.
Ozturk, on his part, said that Anadolu Agency had launched a "100th-year project" to become one of the top five news agencies in the world by 2020, the agency's centennial anniversary.
