Turkish president to attend NATO Summit in Chicago

ANKARA

A Turkish delegation, headed by President Abdullah Gul, will represent Turkey at the NATO Summit in Chicago, United States, on May 20-21.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz will also travel to the U.S. to attend the summit which will mainly focus on issues such as defense package and Smart Defense, ballistic missile defense system, Deterrence and Defence Posture Review (DDPR) and Afghanistan, said a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Within the scope of the summit, a working session and a working dinner will be held with the participation of heads of state and government of NATO members, moreover, leaders of the countries participating in NATO's ISAF mission and representatives of related institutions will get together at a meeting on Afghanistan to exchange views on establishing stability and security in the country, the statement said. 
Foreign and defense ministers of member countries of the alliance are also scheduled to hold separate meetings on the sidelines of the summit, the statement added.
