Andy Murray advances to Australian Open final

MELBOURNE, Australia

British Andy Murray advanced to the Australian Open final after beating his Czech opponent Tomas Berdych 3-1 on Thursday.

The first set went to Berdych, who won 8-6. Murray, however, dominated the second set winning 6-0. 

Murray also took the lead in the third set with a 6-3 score and secured a spot for himself in the finals by winning the fourth set 7-5.

Murray, 27, will play in the Australian Open final for the fourth time in his career.

The winner of the match between Novak Djokovic from Serbia and Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka on Friday will be Murray's opponent in the Australian Open final.
