Liverpool and London side Arsenal are set to clash this weekend in the English Premier League.

Anfield will play host to the travelling Gunners, with the game kicking off at 1600 GMT on Sunday.

Liverpool have been having hard times in the league, losing 3-0 to Manchester United away last weekend.

Arsenal – now in sixth place – need a win against Liverpool to get their hopes of a top-four league finish back on track.

Liverpool's Italian striker Mario Balotelli is unable to play this weekend since the Football Association banned him for a match due to a recent inappropriate post on his Instagram account.

In addition to Balotelli, the Reds’ forward Daniel Sturridge is likely to miss the game against the north Londoners since he is suffering from thigh injury.

Arsenal have been tussling with injuries with many players such as French center-back Laurent Koscielny, Spanish left-back Nacho Monreal, midfielder and team captain Mikel Arteta, central midfielder Jack Wilshere, Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey, French Abou Diaby and attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil out injured.

The opening match of the weekend sees reigning Premier League champions Manchester City hosting Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium at 1245 GMT.

Regarded as one of the title contenders, City are trying to equalize on points with league leaders Chelsea. City may lack their Argentine star forward Sergio Aguero, who has sustained ligament injury.

Manchester United – third in the league – will play away to Aston Villa on Saturday. The match at Villa Park will start at 1500 GMT. United's Dutch defensive midfielder Daley Blind will miss the match due to a knee injury.

Chelsea meet Stoke City in an away match on Monday; the match at the Britannia Stadium will kick off at 2000 GMT. The Blues expect to field a full-strength team.
