Israeli forces have detained 13 Palestinians in the West Bank overnight, a Palestinian NGO said Monday.

Israeli army troops detained six Palestinians in Sair near Hebron after searching their homes, the Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a statement.

Four others were detained in Burin town in southern Nablus province in northern West Bank, the NGO said.

Three more Palestinians, including two brothers, were taken away from Beit Furik in eastern Nablus and Zababdeh in Jenin, it added.

There was no comment from the Palestinian government or the Israeli authorities on the detentions.

Israeli forces routinely conduct detention campaigns against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on claims that they are "wanted" by Israeli authorities.

Some 7,000 Palestinians are currently languishing in prisons throughout Israel, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Prisoners' Affairs.
