CAIRO

Lakhdar Brahimi, the Joint Special Representative of the UN & the League of Arab States, announced that Assad administration accepted the cease fire throughout the four-day Eid al-Adha holiday.
Brahimi told reporters on Wednesday that Assad administration accepted the cease fire plan, and would release a written statement about it.
Some opponents are also accepting the cease fire, said Brahimi, adding that if the cease fire plan became successful, a negotiation might be held after Eid al-Adha to end the clashes.
The fighting in Syria has killed more than 34,000 people since March last year, according to activists.
