All eyes on highly anticipated Chelsea-Man City clash

ANKARA

English football fans are eagerly anticipating the thrilling showdown between the two English Premier League title contenders, Chelsea and Manchester City, at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Leading the league with 52 points in standings, Chelsea will host Manchester City, who have 47 points, Saturday. The clash will kick off at 1730 GMT.

The London giant's will lack their star forward Diego Costa after the English Football Association decided to ban the 26-year-old for three games after examining video footage of Costa stepping on the foot of Liverpool's Emre Can during the League Cup semi-final Tuesday.

Visitors Manchester City's French midfielder Samir Nasri will miss the match due to a calf injury. City's central midfielder Yaya Toure and striker Wilfried Bony are representing the Ivory Coast in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and thus will also be absent.

On Saturday, Manchester United will play against Leicester City at Old Trafford.

Currently fourth in the league, the Red Devils are aiming to climb higher up the table by defeating Leicester City. Home team Manchester United's left winger Ashley Young is unable to play due to a thigh injury.

The game will be played at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium and will begin at 1500 GMT.

On Sunday, Arsenal will play against Aston Villa at home. Arsenal are hoping to overtake their opponents Manchester United in the table this weekend.

Arsenal's Spanish midfielder captain, Mikel Arteta, is sidelined until April due to ankle problems. The match at the North London club's home ground, the Emirates Stadium, will kick off at 1330 GMT.
