UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying round's matchday 3 ended on Tuesday night.

Latest World Cup winners Germany drew against the Republic of Ireland 1-1 in the Group D game in Gelsenkirchen.

German midfielder Toni Kroos' goal in the 71st minute was not enough for a win with home team Germany being shocked by Irish defender John O'Shea's late equalizer.

Meanwhile in a Group I game, Denmark were toppled by Portugal 1-0 in Copenhagen.

Portuguese star player Cristiano Ronaldo's late winner in stoppage time made his team snap up three points against the nordic side.

In the meantime, another Group I match between Serbia and Albania in Belgrade was abandoned as many Serbian fans ignited fireworks and invaded the pitch.

The unrest came after a remote-controlled helicopter released an Albanian flag on a Kosovo map onto the pitch in the 44th minute.

Both sides' players argued with each other while, in the south stands, fans clashed with police forces.

San Marino 0-4 Switzerland

Faroe Islands 0-1 Hungary
