Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani's first half brace secures a League Cup victory for Parisian giants

Paris Saint-Germain won the French League Cup by defeating Olympique Lyon 2-1 on Saturday night at the Stade de France, Paris.
PSG was off to a flyer with their Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani scoring the opening goal of the match in the fourth minute. The Paris team managed to secure a double lead in the first half after Cavani found the net again, but this time from the penalty spot.
Alexandre Lacazette's second half goal instilled hope to Olympique Lyon, but it was not enough to have the match go to extra times.
Claiming its fourth title, Paris Saint-Germain became the most successful team in the history of the tournament, while Olympique Lyon lost their fourth final match in the competition.
