Turkish contractors undertake 3 bln USD of projects in Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT 

Turkish contractors have undertaken 3 billion USD of projects in Turkmenistan since the beginning of 2012.

Among these projects are construction of sports complex, port, school, hospital, highway, infrastructure, bridge, railways, drilling platform, pipeline, textile factories, hotels and social facilities.
Recently, Turkey's Polimeks construction company won the tender to build the first technopark of the country. The project is worth 137 million USD. 
Moreover, Polimeks has undertaken construction of second lap of olympic city worth 1.4 billion USD, and Soykaya construction will construct a railway station and dwellings worth 45 million USD.
Norsel textile company will construct three textile factories worth 110 million USD, whereas Cakir construction will build a marriage office worth 10 million USD and Cotam company will construct a 200-bed sanatorium worth 31 million USD.
Cotam company will build the first modern animal breeding complex of Turkmenistan worth 23 million USD. GAP construction company will construct emergency aid centers in five provinces in Turkmenistan. The project is worth 105 million USD.
Efor construction company is building a cardiology hospital in Ashgabat in return for 65 million USD.
Turkish companies undertook 63 projects worth 3.2 billion USD in Turkmenistan in 2011. This figure was 4.5 billion USD in 2010. 
Projects Turkish construction companies had fulfilled in Turkmenistan since 1991 have reached 30 billion USD.
