Mohammed Morsi won the Egyptian presidential election, which is the first democratic one since Mubarak regime.

Mohammed Morsi won the Egyptian presidential election, which is the first democratic and transparent one since Mubarak regime.

Farouk Sultan, head of the election commission, said that Morsi won with 51.3 percent of the votes.
Hosni Mubarak's last Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq got 48.7 percent of votes in the election.
This is the first time modern Egypt will be headed by a freely elected civilian.
