AA 'War Journalism Program' to start in September

ANKARA 

The Anadolu Agency’s "War Journalism certificate program," offered in collaboration of the Anadolu Agency News Academy and the Turkish Police Academy, will begin on September 8 with an opening ceremony attended by Anadolu Agency Director General Kemal Ozturk and head of the Police Academy Dr. Yilmaz Colak.

This will be the fourth time the Anadolu Agency provides the war certificate program.

Thirty reporters, photojournalists and cameramen from national and global media organizations will participate in the training to be between September 8 and 19.

The Agency is among a few global media institutions offering a program of war journalism.

Turkey's official disaster management agency AFAD and the Turkish Armed Forces will contribute experienced staff to the program. 

A comprehensive range of subjects will be offered in the program including journalism, terrorism, refugees, personal security, the laws of war, first aid, advanced driving techniques, water survival techniques, navigation, explosives, chemical and biological attacks and media management in hostile environments. 

Internationally-recognized certificates are awarded to participants at the end of the program.
