Ethiopia's Walta Center eyes cooperation with AA bureau

The Walta Information Center (WIC), a private Ethiopian media house, has called for cooperation with Anadolu Agency's regional bureau in Addis Ababa.
"The newcomer, Anadolu, has already become nearly a household name in Addis Ababa in particular and Ethiopia in general in the four or so months since it began operations in this country," WIC General Manager Teteka Bekele said during a Thursday visit to AA's regional bureau in the capital.
"Anadolu has become a brand already, quite visible in the Ethiopian mass media scene – and so in just a few months' time," he added.
AA Bureau Chief Mohamed Taha Tawakel and Editor-in-Chief Seleshi Tessema briefed the visitors about the bureau's operations and future plans.
The Addis Ababa-based WIC was established in 1994.
